| A Message to our Taylor Parents: |
Dear Taylor Parents,
THSABC is a 501 ( C ) (3) organization that was created to provide support to the Taylor
High School athletes, their programs, and to aide in funding athletic upgrades, equipment and
scholarships. Each year THSABC gives out fifteen (15) college scholarships to student
athletes that are selected by a committee comprised of Taylor High School counselors, the
campus athletic coordinator and a member of the THSABC Executive Board.
KISD provides essential funding for many of the necessary projects, however each school’s
booster club must shoulder the responsibility for covering the additional needs of our athletes
and coaching staffs. THSABC raises funds through membership, advertising in the sports
athletic programs, sales of spirit wear, an annual golf tournament, raffle, Mustang Family Fun
Night and concessions at all on campus sporting events.
Our goal for the 2011 – 2012 school year is to reach 100% participation in the THSABC.
Every student athlete at Taylor deserves to be represented by a parent or family membership
in this important organization. Please look over the various levels of membership and select
the one that best fits your commitment. Again this year we are offering the “alumni”
membership available to parents who have “graduated” from Taylor, but wish to stay involved
and informed. The Blue, Silver and Platinum memberships have increased in price this year
due to KISD implementing a charge for the KISD passes. The passes are $50.00 each and
can only be purchased in conjunction with membership in THSABC.
Please take a few minutes to complete the enclosed forms and return them with payment. If
you wish, visit our website at www.taylormustangs.org and complete an application, then drop
your check in the mail. Thank-you for your support, on behalf of the athletes and coaching
staff who benefit from your generosity!!
